ATP World Tour Finals - Djokovic v Ferrer Odds and Betting Preview

LONDON, UK - The 02 Arena will host the world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic and the number five seed David Ferrer in the ATP World Tour Finals. The Serbian is the outright favourite to win the clash at 1/3 with bet365 whereas Ferrer is priced up at 9/4 with Betinternet to cause an upset.
David Ferrer has somewhat accidentally made himself a local villain here in London, as he beat an injury ridden Andy Murray earlier in the week which consequently resulted in the Scot pulling out of the competition altogether. That said the Spaniard was very humble in the post match interview knowing full well that the games to follow will be far more testing. He recently said in a press conference that he had “played his best tennis this season” and no doubt a victory over the world number three (injured or not) is still good for his confidence. This is his third appearance in the tournament. In his first he beat the likes of Nadal, Gasquet and Djokovic before losing to Federer in the semi-final. In 2010 however he lost all of his round robin matches and no doubt wants to show how much he has improved as a tennis player over the last year by succeeding in this tournament.
Djokovic needs little introduction after being the tennis player on everyone's lips this year. The Serb qualified for this tournament way back in May after having an unbeaten start to the season leading up to Rolland Garros. Djokovic was officially lauded as the year-end ATP World Tour number 1 on Tuesday and in an on court ceremony said “making history obviously is a big privilege, it feels fantastic.” As a player he keeps going from strength to strength and is the favourite to win the overall competition; despite Federer's emphatic victory over Nadal.
Odds on the game going into the third and final set are priced up at 13/8 with William Hill and on the other hand if you think a whitewash is on the cards Stan James are offering 4/7 that the game will be over in two sets.
