ATP World Tour Finals - Rafael Nadal v Roger Federer Odds and Betting Preview

02 Arena, London

Throughout this century, the matches between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have been arguably the most exciting and fairly matched games to be seen. These two players will be in the spotlight once more this Tuesday in the ATP group stage match at the 02 Arena in London. Although not integral to the overall result of the tournament, this match presents an opportunity for both players to hit the ground running and send a message to the rest of the tennis world.

Federer is the clear favourite for the clash, priced up at 4/9 with William Hill. The Swiss pro has been on good form and recently beat Jo-Wilfied Tsonga in the final of the BNP Paribas Masters. No doubt demoralized by his recent decline in the world rankings, this competition allows Federer to reignite his dominance on the world stage. He lost to Nadal in the final of the French open and will no doubt be itching to set the record straight.

Nadal on the other hand has had a turbulent last couple of months. He lost to the number 23, Florian Mayer, in the Shanghai Masters and was beaten by Andy Murray in the Japan Open Tennis Championship. Nonetheless he is the second best tennis player in the world, according to the rankings, and is never out of contention. He is give the odds of 1/2 with Ladbrokes to secure a victory over his fierce rival.

Many of you will remember some of the epic ties between these two tennis greats and there is much speculation on whether the game will be a drawn out affair again. Coral are offering odds of 8/13 that the game will be won in straight (two) sets whereas the odds on the game going to the third set are given at 6/4 with BetVictor.
